Description
The Norway lobster, also known as the Dublin Bay prawn or langoustine, is a small lobster species found in the northeastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea. It lives mainly on muddy seabeds, where it uses its long, slender claws to search for food and defend itself.
Its body is orange-pink, with a pale underside and elongated claws. The species is mostly active at night, feeding on small fish, worms, crustaceans, and other organisms found on or near the seabed. During the day, it often remains inside burrows in the sediment.
The Norway lobster is an important commercial seafood species and is highly valued for its delicate, sweet-tasting meat.
